9 RV-Friendly Campgrounds in Yosemite

We’ve rounded up all the information you need to know on Yosemite’s RV-friendly campgrounds. Yosemite Valley Campgrounds

All Pines campgrounds are located near Curry Village at 4,000 feet in elevation.

1. North Pines Campground
RVs up to 40 feet in length

This campground is one of two in the park that can accommodate RVs up to 40 feet in length at a few of its sites. Be sure to check your site’s specs before booking. It’s open March through October and has great views.

2. Upper Pines Campground
RVs up to 35 feet in length
Dump station
Year-round

This prime location with tall pine trees and views of Half Dome offers the only dump station in the valley and is open year-round.

3. Lower Pines Campground
RVs up to 40 feet in length

This campground along the Merced River can accommodate RVs up to 40 feet in length at a few of its sites. Be sure to check your site’s specs before booking. It’s open April through October.

Southern Yosemite Campgrounds

4. Wawona Campground
RVs up to 35 feet in length
Dump station
Year-round

Away from the valley’s crowds, this year-round spot is located on Wawona Road. First-come, first served sites are only available October through March. It sits along the South fork of the Merced River.

5. Bridalveil Creek Campground
RVs up to 35 feet in length
Closed in 2022

Located along Glacier Point Road, it sits at 7,200 feet in elevation and is open July through September most years. It will be closed due to construction in 2021.

Northern Yosemite Campgrounds

6. Hodgon Meadow Campground
RVs up to 35 feet in length
Year-round

This campground is located along Big Oak Flat Road and sits at 4,900 feet in elevation. Fires and droughts have affected trees in this area, so it’s a good place to camp if you want full sun.

7. Crane Flat Campground
RVs up to 35 feet in length
Closed in 2022

With a July through mid-October season, this site sits along Big Oak Flat Road at 6,200 feet. It’s located conveniently to explore both Yosemite Valley and Tioga Road.

8. Tuolumne Meadows Campground
RVs up to 35 feet in length
Dump station
Closed in 2022

Located along Tioga Road an hour and a half from Yosemite Valley, this campground sits at 8,600 feet. Sites are available July through September. It’s perfect for exploring the area.

9. White Wolf Campground
RVs up to 27 feet in length

Located along Tioga Road, this campground in the trees is at 8,000-feet. It can accommodate RVs up to 27 feet and trailers up to 24 feet. Sites are open July through September. A small, quiet campground, you’ll feel world’s away from it all.

Park RV Tips

• Plan ahead. Check your brakes and be prepared for windy, mountain roads on your route.
• Know your RV size. Length and height restrictions apply on several park roads.
• Look out for road closures. Glacier Point Road will be closed in 2021.
• Be prepared to dry camp. No hookups are available in Yosemite National Park.
• Be bear aware. Make sure all windows, doors and vents are sealed when you leave and store your food in park-designated bear bins.
