Stay in a Modern Airstream at AutoCamp Yosemite

Relax in a cabin, canvas tent or Airstream at this modern and luxurious glamping resort near Yosemite.

Located in the small town of Midpines, a little more than 30 minutes from Yosemite, you can stay in a modern glamping resort. Autocamp Yosemite is the perfect place to get away from it all when you spend the night in a renovated Airstream, cozy cabin or luxury canvas tent. Tucked in a forest of beautiful pine trees, you’ll wish you could live on the stunning property.

AutoCamp Yosemite is anchored by the Clubhouse where you can grab a complimentary coffee or a drink from the bar and make new friends around the fireplace, or grab breakfast, lunch or dinner at the Kitchen which has a rotating locally-prepared menu based on what’s in season. You’ll find items like grain bowls, upscale pizzas and breakfast sandwiches on the menu.

“The Clubhouse is the heart of the property — a cozy gathering space that has everything you’ll need for your stay,” says AutoCamp’s senior director of brand marketing, Helene Petersen.

Stop by the Kitchen and General Store which carries locally-sourced food, provisions, camping supplies and gifts so if you want to cook dinner at your accommodations you won’t have to leave the property to do so. Pick up a BBQ Kit, which includes local meat and sides that you can cook over your own private fire pit. Each guest suite includes everything you need to cook cowboy style from cast iron to oven mitts to salt and pepper.

When it’s time for bed, the property has three options for your stay. Book a renovated Airstream that has a queen bed and a futon, a luxury bathroom with a walk-in shower, high-end bath products and a small kitchenette. There’s no stove in the Airstream though, so you’ll get to enjoy dinner cooked al fresco over the fire located at your private sitting area. Airstreams have air conditioning and heat, so you’ll stay the right temperature no matter the weather.

For those staying with a bigger group or looking for more space, a variety of cabin rentals equipped with full kitchens and sleek and modern amenities are a perfect choice. Cabins vary in size but can sleep up to five guests.

If you’re looking for a true glamping experience, book a luxury canvas tent. It has a king bed, wooden floors and is beautifully appointed. There aren’t bathrooms in the tents, but you’ll get access to the shared bathrooms in the Clubhouse when you stay in a tent. Can’t choose between an Airstream or a tent, or are traveling with a group? Book the Basecamp Suite, which includes both.

AutoCamp Yosemite is well-positioned to be your basecamp for exploring the park. The drive to the Arch Rock Entrance is a little more than 30 minutes, which will lead you to Yosemite Valley’s stunning views and hiking trails, as well as the rest of the park. If you want to skip the drive, you can opt to ride the YARTS bus into the park. The Midpines stop is walking distance from the property and your park entrance fee is included in your fare. It’s a no-brainer way to avoid parking headaches.

Exploring the park on your own isn’t the only way to take advantage of this gorgeous part of the Sierra Nevada. With AutoCamp, you can book a variety of activities with local guides and partners. There’s guided tours of Yosemite, photography excursions and cider tastings available to be booked in advance with discounted rates at autocamp.com/adventures, along with complimentary on-site activities you can book like yoga classes or guided meditation. AutoCamp also has a gorgeous, seasonal pool and complimentary bikes you can borrow to explore the area.
