Climb Yosemite's El Capitan from your Couch

Google's new Street View project is ready for you to experience. It's a 3,000-foot interactive journey up a vertical rock wall.

Are you one of the thousands of people that watched the record-breaking free climb of El Capitan in January of 2015?

Here’s your chance to experience the thrill. Google’s new Street View project with climbers Alex Honnold, Lynn Hill, and Tommy Caldwell is ready for you to experience. It’s a 3,000-foot interactive journey up a vertical rock wall.

Google’s efforts to show vertical “street” views is to document less populated areas of the world that can be digitally explored by armchair enthusiasts. In the past, Google has attached cameras to rafts floating down the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon and other adventures.
